IMPHAL: Manipur will import 300 metric tonnes of rice from Myanmar from this month to meet the scarcity of rice in the state, official sources said today.

The state government has received the nod of the Centre to import the rice from the neighbouring country.

IMPHAL: Buses and trucks of Manipur will not ply through Nagaland until the Centre and the Nagaland government pay compensation for the damaged vehicles during the ongoing indefinite economic blockade on national highways, the transporters and drivers council (TDC) said today.
