Assam Public Service Commission(APSC): ADVT. NO.06/2009: Jobs applications are invited by Assam Public Service Commission i.e APSC from Indian Citizens defined in Articles 5 to 9 of the Constitution of India for the under-mentioned posts under Assam Government.
1. Lecturer In English
Post: 01
Pay Scale: Rs.4,300/ to Rs.11,025/ PM
Age Limit : 21 years to 38 years as on 01.01.2009 (Relaxable by 5 (five) years in case of SC/ST candidates)
Educational Qualification : First Class or Second Class Master Degree in English with atleast 55% marks obtained in Master Degree level from any recognized university with 3 (three) years teaching experience as an additional feature.
2. Assistant Director (Class-I) of Survey
Posts: 02
Pay Scale: Rs.6,600/ to Rs.12,625/ PM
Age Limit: 21 years to 38 years as on 01.01.2009 (Relaxable by 5 (five) years in case of SC/ST candidates)
Educational Qualification :
(A) Science Graduate from any recognized university having Mathematics as a subject in the Degree standard with 400 (Basic) Surveying Supervisor Course/410 Cadastral Survey Course from Survey Training Institute, Hyderabad, Survey of India. -OR-
(B) Candidates possessing B.E. Degree with specialization in Surveying are required to go 400 (Basic) Surveying Supervisor Course and Map Reproduction in the Survey Training Institute, Hyderabad, Survey of India after recruitment to the post of Assistant Director of Survey.
3. Assistant Engineer (Civil) Under Water Resources Deptt.

Pay Scale: Rs.4,390/ to Rs.11,425/ PM
Age Limit: 21 years to 38 years as on 01.01.2009 (Relaxable by 5 (five) years in case of SC/ST candidates)
Educational Qualification : A candidate must be a Graduate in Civil Engineering from any recognized University in India or must have passed Section-‘A’ and ‘B’ of the AMIE (India)
4. Assistant Engineer (Mechanical) Under Water Resources Deptt.

Pay Scale: Rs.4,390/ to Rs.11,425/ PM
Age Limit: 21 years to 38 years as on 01.01.2009 (Relaxable by 5 (five) years in case of SC/ST candidates)
Educational Qualification : Graduate in Mechanical Engineering from any recognized University in India or must have passed Section-‘A’ and ‘B’ of the AMIE (India)
5. Junior Engineer (Civil) Under Water Resources Deptt.
Posts: 95
Pay Scale: Rs.3,580/ to Rs.8,750/ PM
Age Limit: 21 years to 38 years as on 01.01.2009 (Relaxable by 5 (five) years in case of SC/ST candidates)
Educational Qualification : A candidate must have passed 3 (three) years Diploma in Civil Engineering from any Govt. institution
6. Junior Engineer (Mechanical) Under Water Resources Deptt.

Pay Scale: Rs.3,580/ to Rs.8,750/ PM
Age Limit: 21 years to 38 years as on 01.01.2009 (Relaxable by 5 (five) years in case of SC/ST candidates)
Educational Qualification : A candidate must have passed 3 (three) years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from any Govt. institution
7. Research Assistant Under Planning & Development Department

Pay Scale: Rs.3,760/ to Rs.9,400/ PM
Age Limit: 21 years to 38 years as on 01.01.2009 (Relaxable by 5 (five) years in case of SC/ST candidates)
Educational Qualification : A candidate must be a Graduate in Arts or Science or Commerce from any Govt. recognized University with either Economics / Mathematics / Statistics / Agricultural Economics / Sociology / Anthropology / Social Anthropology / Social Work / Business Administration / Business Management / Geography or Commerce as one of the subjects. Preference shall be given to the Major (Honours) Graduates.
